I am an Educational Psychology doctoral candidate with a research focus on the educational experiences and academic achievements of school-aged Black girls.
I am an educator, having spent my entire professional career working in urban public schools, first as a Family and Consumer Science teacher and, at present, as a school counselor.

Outside of my studies and professional obligations, you can find me with my two beautiful Brown baby boys and husband, Pinterest surfing, or watching an episode of FBI while drinking cold coffee (because #momlife).
I possess a sharp eye for detail. I am skilled at critically reviewing writing and making meaningful edits. I have used my experience as an educator and scholar to help others improve their writing: resumes, cover letters, essays, personal statements, research papers, etc.
